As the Product Designer, I was responsible for translating the organization’s mission into a structured, user-centered digital experience.

Coding Clubhouse is a nonprofit organization focused on expanding access to coding education for children aged 6–16, while also supporting educators through training programs and structured learning resources. Its offerings include virtual summer classes, teacher training & youth empowerment initiatives, and digital learning resources such as Code Equity materials, YouTube lessons, and downloadable activity books. Although the organization had strong programs and community engagement, it lacked a centralized digital platform to support discovery, onboarding, and long-term engagement. My role was to design a scalable web experience that could function as a learning platform, not just a marketing website.
Coding Clubhouse needed a centralized digital experience that could serve three distinct user groups — children exploring coding content, teachers seeking training and instructional resources, and caregivers looking for youth empowerment opportunities — each with different goals and levels of familiarity with technology.
Specifically:
Without this structure, users risked bouncing from the platform before finding relevant programs or engaging resources, hindering the nonprofit’s mission of equitable access to coding education.
I approached the project using a product-thinking mindset:
